Study into the interactions between "Biodiversity and Military Activities"

Study into the interactions between "Biodiversity and Military Activities" (Action A6)

This study is conducted by CEN PACA. Its aims are:

  • To identify all military regiment activities conducted at the sites, with the support of the French Ministry of Defence and veterans.
  • To identify the species and habitats of community importance at these sites.
  • To establish the impact of military activities on the Natura 2000 issues.

The study was launched in early 2013 and CEN Aquitaine, which is conducting the study, has released its initial results (see article in the news section).

This assessment of the interactions between "Biodiversity and Military Activities" will be used to identify the initial elements of a best practice guide (Action E4).
