In France, large expanses of the natural landscape are occupied by the French ministry of the Armed Forces. With the help of specialised ecology partners, in particular that of the Conservancies of Natural Areas (Conservatoires d’espaces naturels, CENs), the Ministry is working to preserve the exceptional biodiversity of these spaces.
