General presentation

MINARM and CEN Rhône-Alpes led the first European project on the biodiversity of French military land. This project, which ran from 2012 to 2017, was a success and laid the first stone of a national and European network linking the Army and the managers of natural areas. It was urgent to consider the Army as a manager of natural areas in its own right! Conserving the biodiversity of military land means protecting the national and European heritage.
